What is your style of photography?
We capture the artistic, portrait shots, as well as document your entire day in a photojournalistic style. We love capturing your wedding day as it happens, taking photos that tell a story. We make sure to capture the bride and groom, wedding party, family and any other important group photos. You can view our Iowa photographers here and our Colorado team here.
Do you work from a shot list?
Yes, we do chat about any important photos and walk through a photo list 30 days prior to your wedding date as well as determine any must-have photos!
Can I request certain images to be taken?
Yes, you sure can! We love getting ideas that you have. You can share your Pinterest board with us too if you would like.
How long does it take to get our images?
Online galleries and digital files are ready in approximately four to six weeks after the wedding date.
How many images do I get?
The number of photographs taken depends on many things — the number of guests, hours of coverage, types of events, etc.. From a typical eight-hour wedding you should expect no less than 400 images.
Which photographer will be shooting my wedding?
You may request a specific photographer; otherwise, we’ll make the decision based on personality, availability and your referral. We also have a portfolio that you can review and choose your favorite photos from. This allows us to determine which photographer’s work you love the most.
Do you deliver every image you shoot?
No, we do not. We eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery.
Do you come to rehearsal?
Rehearsal dinner coverage is available if you’d like to add it to your package; otherwise, we do not attend the rehearsals.
Can you hold a date for me?
We will of course hold a date once you have signed the contract and sent the deposit. Without the deposit and contract, we cannot hold the date or pencil you in.
Do you refund deposits on cancellations?
No. Deposits are non-refundable. The deposit guarantees that we will hold the date exclusively for you and once you’ve signed the contract, we may turn down other weddings or events for that date.
Do you do destination weddings?
While Weddings By Carue is based out of Iowa, Illinois and Colorado, we serve clients all around the world. Our destination wedding photography packages include the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations. You can learn more on our destination wedding page.
Do you have liability insurance?
Yes. Many venues require the photographer to have liability insurance.
